Vietnam’s passport slipped three places to 87th in the latest Henley Passport Index, with holders enjoying visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 49 destinations worldwide.
Vietnam now shares the same position with Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Haiti and Central Africa.

In January, it ranked 86th, offering visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 49 destinations, but jumped two places to 84th in March.
Within Southeast Asia, Vietnam ranks above Cambodia (88th), Laos (89th) and Myanmar (91st).
Singapore continues holding the world’s most powerful passport, allowing visa-free entry to 192 destinations, followed by Japan, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates that shared the second position.
The five weakest passports belong to Pakistan, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan.
The Henley Passport Index tracks global travel freedom across 227 countries and territories, using exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
